Summertime!

Sorry I've been so absent lately. This was my kids last week of school and considering they had nothing but parties and assemblies and "water fun" days, it sure was a busy week. My daughter graduated from the sixth grade yesterday. I now have a seventh grader. Weird. Middle School. I do not envy her the next two awkward years. At the same time, I look forward to all the stories she'll bring home (if she doesn't stop talking to me) they will be good study material for my writing. :)

In the mean time, it is officially summer! Wahoo! I sense lazy days ahead, which are my favorite kind. I know a lot of you started your summer a week ago (unfair) but happy summer, everyone.

  1. I hate when school's out because it means all night block parties (rude neighbors)...

  2. Yay summer! Hope you find plenty of time to read and write when you aren't having fun with the kids! :)

  3. There is NO WAY you are old enough to have a middle schooler.

I'm excited for summer, but only once my babysitter gets back from her church mission trip. *sigh*

    Happy summer! :)

  5. I still have 1 1/2 weeks before the kids are off school, but I know what you mean about the parties and assemblies. And then there's the last of the volunteering I'm doing for the school year. :)

Hope you'll still have a chance to write (or at least read) now that your kids are home full time.

  6. You know, they say 'lazy summer days' but I feel like summer is way busier than winter.

  7. Yay for summer time. I like summer time.

It will be fun to see the writing fodder you get from the middle schooler.

  8. Yay! The lazy days of summer are here! I can sleep in late, and..Hey, wait! I still have to go to work tomorrow. This summer thing is not cool. I wish I was a teacher. Those guys have it made with their summers off.
