Wednesday (movie) Review

I've been in a reading lull lately. I'll blame it on laziness. And when I'm lazy, what do I like to do? Mindlessly watch movies. I think I've mentioned before that we have Netflix. So sometimes I'll troll through the "instant plays" trying to find some hidden gem that I haven't heard of before to satisfy my I-need-a-movie-RIGHT-NOW craving. Who has time to wait for a movie to come in the mail when I'm in the mood to watch a movie this INSTANT? This movie was probably the best of the "hidden gems" that I've viewed. It was super cute.

It did have an unrealistic bit when the main character sat in an editor's office with his manuscript while she rejected it. It made me laugh. If only we got personal appointments with editors. And the fact that the editor was able to personally talk to even those she was rejecting. Amazing. But aside from that it was a great romantic comedy with a twist I didn't see coming. If you end up watching it, tell me if you guessed the twist. Although, I didn't know there was going to be a twist so I wasn't really watching for one.....Crap, I shouldn't have told you there was going to be a twist. No, I'm not going to erase it. I still have confidence, despite my telling, that you will not guess.

So if you have Netflix go watch this right......NOW. And report back to me in exactly 1 hour and 34 minutes. :)

  1. Alas, we can canceled our Netflix last month....

  2. They must have added this to the Instants since the last time I looked for a hidden gem. I WAS going to write, but I have a hard time ignoring direct orders.

  3. No netflix here, but I did have a friend who got rejected by an editor in person - at lunch even. Unlikely yes, but maybe not so unrealistic.

  4. We have Netflix, but the cheapy, two-movie-a-month one. And alas, it's Ben's turn.

Though now I'll be watching for the twist. . . :) That actually happened to me with the movie The Illusionist. I knew there was a twist, and I TOTALLY figured it out right in the beginning. So much so that I didn't think that was the twist. So I kept waiting for the gasp moment. Needless to say, I was disappointed.

  5. LOL! How about if I add it to my Netflix Instant queue instead? Then the next time I don't know what to watch, it'll be there waiting for me.

  6. I may have to watch this tonight... Love Netflix, although they have way too many options that distract me from writing.:)

  8. I feel embarrassed... am I the only one who doesn't know what Netflix is?? :(
Well, it must be something you guys have there, up north, right?

And thanks for the review! I'll let you know if I guessed the twist! :D

  9. Monica, Netflix is online movie renting. You can either select a movie and have it mailed to you within 2 days, or they have a huge list of Instant Watch where it streams through your tv or computer. It's pretty awesome.
