And we all know what summer means: Reading! Wait, that's what Fall and Winter and Spring mean for me too so I guess that's not a change from normal. But, I thought it would be fun to talk about my favorite "beach reads" and also for you to tell me yours. I'm always looking for a fun book to drag with me on vacations. I hope I actually get to visit a beach this summer so I can make the term "beach reads" literal. Okay, so, here are some of my favs:
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Open Road Summer by Emory Lord
Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson
This is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E Smith
The Promise of Amazing by Robin Constantine
The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han
So that's my short list (I could go on and on). And yes, for some reason they are all contemporaries. Why do I assume that summer/beach reads must be contemporary? Hmmm, I'll have to ponder that. Now it's your turn. What are some of your summer favorites?
