And the Oscar goes to....
Okay, I'm not saying I was disappointed with last night's show. I'm not saying there was a certain movie that was neglected in every single category. A certain movie that I saw three times in the theater and am counting down 'til March 3rd when it comes out on DVD so that I can obsessively watch my favorite parts over and over again. No, I'm not saying that at all. I'm just saying I thought I'd give out a few of my own awards. So here they are:
*Best romantic movie in the entire universe: Australia
*Best actor who can also sing and dance without coming off as cheesy: Hugh Jackman
*Best intense looks during fake horseriding scenes (what? It should totally be a category): Hugh Jackman
*Best Australian accent (ok, it's his real accent, but, sigh, it's so dreamy): Hugh Jackman
*Best bucket of water pouring: Hugh Jackman
*Best biceps: Hugh Jackman
Anyway, you get the picture. I had to do it. After all my bragging about Australia and Wolverine, you all know I was in heaven last night. I mean, first with the oscars and then the Barbara Walters special. Everything was coming up Hugh Jackman last night .... well, accept the awards themselves. Oh well, my awards are just as honorable, aren't they? So there you go, Hugh (yes, we're on a first name basis) I'm sure you don't need another award in your entire life after these.
P.S. There are no trophies that go along with these awards. Just the satisfaction of knowing you won them. And by the way, only one person voted....me.

That's so awesome! I agree! Talk about amazing musical prowess on the dance floor! Super cute and so super fun! Gotta love youtube! Eeeh! Gonna go watch it again.
ReplyDeleteWow. I agree with you, tho I didn't watch the awards last night. Sad, huh. I'm so not hip.
ReplyDeleteOk--so I am behind--is Australia out and was it awesome? I want to see it!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that's all he needs, though, Kasie. What are stupid awards compared to your unadulterated adoration?
ReplyDeleteI'm adding my votes to the tally. I didn't watch the awards last night, but I'm sure yours have got to be better!
ReplyDeleteMost likely to leave husband and family in a desperate attempt to stalk Hugh...drumroll...Kasie (Peeps) West! Laud applause...and sobbing from the J-Man
ReplyDeleteLet me guess, you are fond of Hugh Jackman.:) I have many fondnesses (is that a word?)so I understand completely. I didn't see Australia or Wolverine or the Awards, but I did catch a Barbara Walters interview with Micky Rourk (not fond)who seems to have an unhealthy fondness to his dogs.
ReplyDeleteJenni, I know, right? The guy is just multi-talented. And it was so obvious that he was comfortable up there.
ReplyDeleteNat, so sad. Actually, I usually don't watch it either. But I must admit that Hugh was a major incentive for me this year.
Terri, Australia was awesome. It comes out on DVD on March 3rd, you must watch it.
Kiersten, seriously. Awards are nothing compared to my stalking ... I mean adoration.
Candi, but you saw the movie, so you know what I'm talking about.
ReplyDeleteKevin, thanks for the award. I humbly accept.
Tricia, what gave you that impression? And you must see both movies. Wolverine's not out until May, so no worries, you have time to mentally prepare yourself for its greatness. May I recommend X-Men 1-3 as study material.
Oh Hugh, oh Hugh. Why are you so gorgeous?
ReplyDeleteI watched the Oscars on and off, and I totally agree with you, Kasie. Hugh is an under appreciated genius.
Okay... you sold me. I am going to be waiting in line to get the DVD on March 3rd and then I have a feeling I'll quickly be adding my vote to yours :)
ReplyDeleteMissed the Oscars and am terribly out of the movie loop, but I'll go with your votes. :)
ReplyDeleteHey I would have voted for Hugh in all those categories! He really is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get to watch the Oscars, but this is a good recap. LOL. :)
