Feedback is Priceless

So, as many of you know I'm in the midst of editing. It's why my blog is like a ghost town and my comments have been sporadic. Editing is work. I shouldn't complain though, in fact, I feel super lucky. I had a real, living and breathing agent talk to me on the phone and tell me what would make my book even better. How priceless is that? Well, (the ever brilliant and funny) Jenni James sent me this video that pretty much shows exactly what happened when I hung up the phone with the agent. In fact it's so creepily accurate that I wonder if Star Trek really does take place in the future and they were watching movie clips of my life to get this scene. I was even wearing an outfit remarkably similar to Captain Kirk's (I know, weird).

  1. Wow. That's accurate to some reactions I've given to feedback. LOL! Great video. :)

  2. Good luck with those changes, by the way!

  3. They need to make it longer tho. Like ten minutes or something. Maybe when New Moon comes out and we have all that Bella devastation over Edward LEAVING her...that's probably going to be appropriately over dramatic.

  4. Gotta love William Shatner. He's to die for on Boston Legal.

I love the video and I could totally picture you having that fit--not the outfit though.

    That was hilarious.

  6. Um, Kasie, I'm assuming the fact that you spoke to a living, breathing agent is a VERY good sign! You shouldn't be crashing to the ground in fear and anguish. Best of luck to you with your editing (and possible representation, she asked hopefully?)

  7. TeeHee! William Shatner is funny! I echo Tricia's sentiments. He's really funny in Boston Legal, but this beats all.

  8. Michelle, LOL I know, I laughed so hard when I saw this video. And thanks, I'm working hard.

Natalie, I know, right? We need like the part in the book where it's like January....February.....March (or whatever months they were) and then beneath those months we can have like a continuous scream. LOL That would be funny.

Tricia, I know, love William Shatner. Boston Legal is hilarious. He makes that show....Denny Crane. LOL And come on, you can't see me in that outfit??

  9. Jenni, thanks for the laugh, I needed it right now.

Debra, I hope it's a good sign. We'll see what she thinks of my edits and hopefully (fingers crossed) move forward from there. She hasn't asked, but I appreciate all the help she's been giving me.

Candi, I know, William Shatner rocks. I loved it when he pushed that realistic looking alien out of the way.
